Q: What is your style?

My editing style is colorful, modern & artsy. My shooting style is both natural/candid and directed. My aim is to make you feel comfortable and have a blast at your wedding/session!

Q: How long have you been a photographer?

I picked up my first DSLR when I was in high school, and I've been photographing weddings for 6 years!

Q: Do you only shoot weddings?

While most of my bookings are weddings, I love to shoot a whole variety of different things including engagements, proposals, just-for-funs, lifestyle portraits, families, product/business shoots, adventures, etc. I want to document ALL of your life adventures, big and small! Check all my different shoots on my blog!

Q: When can we expect our photos?

When I edit your photos I want to make sure every last one of them is PERFECT before delivering them, BUT I also still work quickly to make sure you get them as soon as possible. You'll receive your final gallery within 4-6 weeks of your wedding / within 3-4 weeks of your photo shoot. I promise it's worth the wait!

Q: How many images do you include?

Every wedding day is different so I don't have an EXACT number to give you, but a typical 8 hr wedding will be at least 350 hand edited photos, and engagement shoots will be at least 40.

Q: Do you deliver raw images?

I don't deliver raw/unedited images because I believe that one of the BIG reasons you're hiring me is for my creative vision and editing style as an artist. I promise I will deliver all the BEST photos and won't let you miss out on any memories! And believe me, you don't want all the raw images ;)

Q: Do you travel / do couples ever travel to you?

Heck yes! I have photographed weddings all over the place and am just a plane ride away. Depending on your location, extra fees may apply to cover travel and all that.

How do we book with you / what is the payment schedule like?

Go ahead and fill out this contact form and I will send you a pdf with all the info! Once you've chosen a package, there will be a contract for you to sign and a 30% deposit to hold your date and seal the deal. The final 70% will be due 2 weeks before your wedding.

Q: Can we meet up?

Of course!! It's so important to me to get to know my couples before we do a shoot together! I love tea, cheesecake, mochi, pizza- let's get together and have something yummy!

Q: What if we are shy in front of the camera?

Don't worry, I've gotcha covered! I'm here to help direct you two and help you feel totally comfortable! You'll be a natural in no time, I promise.

Q: What do we wear to the photoshoot?

I've got a What to Wear Guide for all my couples and clients. You're going to look fabulous!

Q: Who is your second shooter?

My husband shoots with me 90% of the time! Fun fact, we actually met and bonded over a love of photography- before we started dating we would stay up late editing photos together and sharing editing techniques (how romantic)

Q: DO you carry backup gear / liability insurance?

Absolutely. I want to give my cllients the best possible expeirence and that includes being prepared for every situation and keeping your photos safe no matter what.

Q: Do you do venue walkthroughs?

Unless there is a very specific reason why I would need to see the venue beforehand, I do not typically do walkthroughs. But don't worry, I always show up early on wedding days to have a look around. Almost every wedding I shoot is at a new venue and over the years I have learned to think quickly on my feet to find the best locations and light possible.

Q: Do you do split coverage?

I don't usually allow for split coverage during a wedding day, because even though you might not need me to photograph for a couple of hours, my time is still technically used as I don't have access to my studio to get any other work done! Sometimes a break in the wedding day scehdule is a good opportunity to have me photograph your ceremony or reception details though.

Still have some more questions for me? Please shoot me a message!

What is my style?

I capture moments in a very artful / modern / authentic way

&

I specialize in adventurous / unique / intimate weddings

but that doesn't exactly tell you what to expect on your wedding day, so let me go one level deeper:

When it comes to weddings, my motto is DO WHAT YOU WANT TO- FORGET TRADITION & THE WEDDING INDUSTRY.

Want to have lemon bars instead of cake? DO IT. Want to get married AFTER eating dinner with your guests? DO IT. Want to skip the huge wedding entirely and spend the $$$ traveling somewhere beautiful on your bucket list? SERIOUSLY DO IT. This is your wedding day, your chance to celebrate your love & commitment in a creative way that's most authentically you.

With this in mind, I am all about helping to curate comfortable, authentic moments & experiences instead of just posing. (I could tell you to awkwardly "stand there, do this" OR we can explore a beautiful, quiet spot where you two can exchange notes, dance, play tag, just enjoy being together, etc.) As weird as this might sound coming from me, photography shouldn't be the main focus of your wedding day! I'm not here to recreate shots or tell you what's the proper way to cut the cake; I want to document the moments that show your personality, joy and passion & that make your wedding day unique.

What they say about your photog being more than just a vendor is 1000% true- I've gone through wedding planning myself & have been to a million weddings now, so I've got ideas, and I've got your back! I will help you however you need with planning beforehand: scheduling, design, scouting locations, other vendor referrals, etc etc you get the point. I will also be there for you ALL DAY on your wedding day: I will hold your lipstick & phone, secretly cry during your vows, and exclaim things like "HOW ARE YOU TWO SO PERFECT" during portraits because I can't contain my excitement!!

Part of what makes my images artful & epic is my couples' willingness to adventure & be part of the creative process. Sure I am the one with the camera, but we work together to create art & sometimes that means hiking a hill to find a beautiful landscape or running through traffic to chase the light.

SO. If you connect with my style / aren't afraid to get your dress & suit a lil dirty to get an epic shot, LET'S HANG!
